CIPP End Seal™

A majority of I/I in a sewer system comes from defective manholes. Even after the main pipe has been renewed, water migrates. The solution is sealing the pipe/manhole interface.

A manhole rehabilitation is not complete without sealing the pipe inlets. Even after the main pipe has been renewed by use of CIPP, Fold & Form, or Spiral Wound, water can migrate between the old host pipe and the structural new lining. LMK’s CIPP End Seal™ is an added feature that effectively seals the manhole / pipe interface.

• The surface is prepared by cleaning and removing all fats, oils, and grease or any other debris.
• Typically an 18″ section of liner is cut from a bulk liner roll. The 18″ long liner tube is saturated with LMK’s ambient cure silicate resin.
• The resin-saturated CIPP End Seal™ liner is positioned onto the LMK inflation device.
• The inflation device with the CIPP End Seal™ liner is inserted into the main pipe leaving several inches protruding into the manhole.
• The bladder is then inflated causing the CIPP End Seal™ liner to come in contact with the main pipe.
• As the bladder continues to expand it flares the liner out, pressing it onto the manhole wall successfully sealing the interface between the pipe penetration and the manhole wall.
